Need a delivery?

We currently service housebound community members across Berkshire & Columbia counties. Please read the updated instructions and then fill out the form below.

Come September, Doorstep Deliverers is adopting a new model.

Instead of submitting requests for specific pre-planned deliveries, housebound community members in need will be paired with volunteers in the area with whom they’ll communicate directly. This way, volunteers can explain their availability so that delivery recipients can schedule grocery and prescription pickups accordingly.

Here’s the rationale: as more volunteers return to work or school full-time, our schedules are less flexible. Our new model will ensure that delivery recipients confirm volunteer availability before scheduling grocery/prescription pickups. It also allows volunteers and housebound delivery recipients to foster a direct relationship during a time of social isolations.

Please be mindful of the following when working with a volunteer.

  1. Our volunteers work on an as-needed basis, in addition to full-time jobs or other obligations. Before placing your order with a supermarket/store, please confirm that the pickup time slot works with your volunteer's schedule. We also ask that you limit your orders to one per week. Our team is thrilled to be able to help our communities, and we ask for your cooperation in doing so.

  2. Our volunteers can pick up groceries and medications from local businesses that offer curbside pickup. We do this to maintain a contactless delivery for that safety of both you and the volunteer.

Disclaimer: Doorstep Deliverers assume no liability for incorrect orders, late deliveries, or theft. We're a group of local volunteers who want to help out and have not encountered any issues thus far, but there is always risk of human error. In completing this form you agree that we are not liable for any mishandling.

Step 1. Complete this simple form to be paired with a volunteer in your area.

Step 2. A volunteer contacts you to discuss their availability. Then, place your order with any local business that offers pickup during that time frame.
